This tour of the ancient coastal defence fortress of Fort Christmas is ideal for lovers of history. 

Cartagena has been an important port since ancient times and the Fort Navidad Museum offers a fascinating panorama of the different defensive fortifications that exist in the port throughout history. Fort Christmas was the axis of the defensive system of the Bay of Cartagena. It was built for the first time in the 17th century, although the present building dates from 1860. Located to the right of the port, in front of the Santa Ana artillery battery, it defended the entrance of the port from the attacks.
